Wedding Flowers

Flowers are a very important part of a wedding and can often make or break your special day.  It is important to choose the right flowers to decorate your wedding with.  They are will be used in many places throughout your special day so choosing flowers is very important.  Wedding flowers will be used manly as decoration; on the tables, walls and even ceiling of the place you choose to get married.  They are also used as decoration in the actual ceremony as boutonnieres and bouquets for the many important people participating in your special day. 

Your florist can assist you in choosing the best arrangements for your wedding, and they will also assist in setting them up as decoration as needed.  The important not to forget the amount of wedding flowers you will need to order.  First and foremost the bouquet will need to be purchased.  Smaller bouquets should also be purchased for the bridesmaids and boutonnieres should me made for the groom, his groomsmen and the parents of both the bride and groom.  Arrangements are also commonly purchased as end pieces for the seats your guests will sit in and also as center pieces for the tables at the reception.  Flowers will also need to be purchased to decorate wall and other fixtures as needed.  These many flowers should all correlate in type and color. 

The wedding flowers you choose should be thought over and picked wisely.  You do not want the flowers to be overwhelming, but you also do not want them to go un-noticed, picking the right amount of flowers is important.  Picking the right type of flower is also important to bring special meaning to your wedding.  Any flower can be a wedding flower; however, you should choose a flower that has meaning to you.  Flowers that reflect the color and theme of your wedding should also be chosen for all decorating areas to continue the theme throughout the wedding. 

Choosing wedding flowers for the special people at your wedding can some times be difficult.  Like with the decoration, you do not want to the flowers to be so overwhelming that they distract from that special individual.  You also must keep the persons position within the wedding in mind as different flower arrangements are often given to different individuals.   Wedding flowers chosen for the bride and her party should be similar; however the brides bouquet should be the largest, followed by the maid of honor and then the bridesmaids.   In opposition the groom and his party should choose boutonnieres that follow a similar pattern with similar flowers.  The parents of the to be married couple should also be fit with boutonnieres while they shouldn’t match the groomsmen’s flowers they should match the theme of the wedding so choosing different types of flowers or contrasting colors would be wise.
