Funeral Flowers

After the death of an individual it is common to send flowers to their loved ones or have flower arrangements displayed at their funeral.  Picking the perfect arrangement is essential for expressing your sorrows for the loss of the individual.  Funeral flowers are an excellent way to show your love for someone who has passed.  Picking the perfect arrangement for the individual is important therefore florists offer many different arrangements and flowers for funerals.  There are many ways to make this arrangement unique and special. 

Often when someone passes away flowers are sent to their close friends and family by their acquaintances.  Sending flowers shows your support and sorrow in their time of need and they are greatly appreciated.  These simple arrangements have much importance to the individual who receives them and can be very supportive.  There are no specific arrangements that are sent, you can choose whatever arrangement you feel is appropriate.  Sending funeral flowers is a very thoughtful action and can make someone’s hard time a little better.

In choosing arrangements to be displayed at your loved ones funeral there are many things to keep in mind.  Your loved ones live should be expressed; therefore there are many arrangements of funeral flowers that are offered.  The most common funeral arrangements are knows as sprays.  These arrangements are one sided displays that usually have a banner intertwined within the flowers.  The most common type of spray is the casket spray which is set lovingly upon the casket I at the viewing and for the burial.  Other sprays are often set up on stands and they often display titles of the diseased.  Mother, father, brother, sister, husband, wife, ect.  Are all things commonly displayed in sprays. 

Other thing to keep in mind is the type of arrangement you are using.  Many cultures have common funeral flowers or meanings behind the use of those flowers.  White flowers are often used at funerals to lighten the mood and express peace and rest.  Dark flowers can also be chosen to express grief towards the person’s loss.   Flowers can also be arranged in patters so that they display has meaning beyond the actual arrangement.  Wreaths of flowers are commonly used at funerals because their circular pattern symbolizes eternal life.  Another common pattern is a heart which shows the love for the person who has passed.
