Fresh Flowers
Florists must use fresh flowers for their arrangements. Using the newest flowers available helps the florist to work with the flowers better. This allows the arrangement to look better because it was assembled better. Newer flowers also contain a brightness and smell that older flowers don’t possess so making a bouquet of newly received flowers allows them not only to look better but to smell better too. On top of all that the fresher the flowers used in the arrangement the longer the arrangement will last. Using the freshest flowers available will allow the arrangement to last for weeks if taken care of properly.
Arrangements must look good because they are given to people or used in special occasions. Using fresh flowers ensures that the customer will be happy with the arrangement they receive. Newer flowers allow the florist to bend, space, and place them as necessary to make the arrangement look perfect. Older flowers do not allow the florist this luxury because they break and are less flexible. Newer flowers also look and smell better then old flowers. They are brighter and they still excrete their unique smell.
Using fresh flowers in arrangements also allows the gift of the arrangement to keep on giving. Arrangements which are made from newer flowers are expected to last longer when properly taken care of. Flowers can only live for a short amount of time in an arrangement and often they are enjoyed as long as they are alive. Using flowers that are new in arrangements will keep them alive for longer once they reach the customer. This way the customer can enjoy their precious gift for longer.
